forgiveness; a zack fair/cloud strife/aerith gainsborough fanmix
"I know. I’m not alone…not anymore."
The Cetra watched it, watch what her opponent’s doing of his plan to get resurrection to living world. He created three remnants as black lifestream poking out to Northern Crater, hitting two persons as they’re unlucky to meet these insane ‘ghosts’ while they were investigating the area.
She wanted to forestall it, though, couldn’t stand the violence The Turks get. But she just cancelled it —not because she’s not willing to help but her heart refused to do the same thing as Sephiroth did, splitting herself into multiple conscious bodies like that. It was not her nature, she preferred to remained as her friends remember her as human.
But it didn’t mean she doesn’t do anything. She still had a power of healing though it meant she has to wait for the proper time. Kept eyeing of where the silver haired men carrying their tolls away —to Forgotten Capital, Aerith finally found a moment when they went out and left Tseng and Elena near the lake, torturing in pain. She guessed they headed to Midgar.
She approached the blonde first, believing Tseng as a man could endure the pain much better than the woman. She left him to Zack while she’s handling Elena —both men probably need to talk. The process of healing was ongoing but it’s not that she just kept silent without try to wake the blonde up. And it’s happened in Elena’s mind as she was laying down on the field of flowers with Aerith sitting down next to her and smiling.
"You’d actually… You can do that? I— I don’t… I thought she would’ve been… Well, can you at least tell my mom that I’m sorry? I never got to see her when I should’ve, but… everything’s alright now. Especially with you, Zack, for being over there to keep her company. You’ll make her laugh at least…. Thank you."
"Well, it’s not what I use t’ be doing but Aerith will help —we’ll find your Mom and make her laugh as you wish. I must pay your delivery business and I don’t have any damn gil in my hand nor in my pocket. So yeah, that’s all I can do. You can count on me of this. I can count on you too, right, Cloud?"
The six year old was running around 7th Heaven as if she were a mad man, or some servant who was trying to do multiple things at once. What was going on was bad, really bad. She had gathered her things she’d possibly need in a bag; a few short clothes, long ones, undergarments, a book and her stuffed animal, as well as the box that contained the black feather and also a small stuffed pony Cloud had given her on her birthday. She had to leave this place, and Midgar. The recent Geostigma that had gotten to her finally had started on her, the sight evident on her upper arm that was covered by her long sleeves.
Running downstairs she could feel tears run down her face in sadness when she looked back at the empty bar, the place Tifa usually worked, Denzel and her played hide and seek, and where Cloud would enter to greet Tifa when he got home. "I’m so sorry.." She whispered to nothing, or so it seemed. Leaving the building she quickly rushed down the street, only getting a few glances from people passing by.She had no where to go that was secret, where someone would find her.
She couldn’t go to Reno and or Rude, they’d probably bring her back, and she couldn’t go to Cid because she didn’t know where he lived. Yuffie and or Vincent were way out of the question. The only place she knew was out of Midgar, and to the place she almost lost her friends, and Denzel, The Forgotten Capital.
It was once a city of Cetra. .A quiet silent area where no life seemed to liven up besides the dark cold tree —a forest that enable to hide you in lost, a place where’s abandoned for hundred years… before a girl in pink bravely came in for her last duty and remained a painful memory. Although her companion went there for a second time after meteorfall to respect her in her grave, It was definitely not a place they want to visit repeatedly. Cloud Strife knew so well how it’s feel and it was a worse place to cherish her.
It was never expected someone running here. The water had been corrupted, a second attack after the Calamity from the Skies struck the Planet nearly wiping out the Cetras, made them out and leave the city in hollow. Her sons, or the remnants of the one who’s thinking he’s the chosen one, used the city as their base. Although they had been defeated and returned to the Lifestream, If you need a healing of the disease they spread, the cleansing water was pouring down and pooled in the Midgar Sector 5 old Church.
Nothing that the last Cetra somehow plan if she would appear again in this place, surely she wished the best for all of her dear person in Gaia. Marlene was a tough girl, Aerith had once watched her here expecting Cloud would safe her and the rest of the children and made sure no one would harm her little friend. But now Marlene came alone with an insecure heart, like Cloud was once while he’s driving to here. So, Aerith greeted her through her mind, with a scnery of blooming flowers in field contrary to the dead trees around.
"You play hide and seek too far away, Marlene…"

"But that’s— … No, nevermind. I’ll do it. Just for you, I’ll let them know what happened to you too. I’m sure you wanted to let them know for a long time so rest easy on that. I’ll also be sure to let them know that you did become a hero, like you wanted to be. They deserve to be proud of you and I’m sure it’ll make them happy… Heh. This’ll be on me, by the way. If you can, tell Aerith I said hey."
"Thanks, Cloud, I’ll make sure your word’s also forwarded t’ Aer— wait, you sure just say hi t’ her only? I bet she’s even watchin’ what we’re talkin’ about then it’s already settled haha…. I mean, there’s another important woman whom I could meet for ya ‘n sayin’ ‘Your son has grown up t’ a big man, Ma’am.’"
